It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Loreto "Tata" Rodriguez. Born on September 8, 1949, Loreto, lovingly known as Tata, transitioned peacefully on July 4, 2024. His joyful spirit, loving nature, and immense heart will be deeply missed.
Loreto leaves behind a beautiful and close-knit family. His loving wife, Maria Lupe Rodriguez, who was also his favorite chef, and their children: Marcos Rodriguez, Kimberly Mora, Kandi Mendoza, and Loreto Jr. Rodriguez. Twelve grandchildren also share in the grief of their beloved "Tata". His enduring influence will surely live on in them.
Remembering Loreto, we recall a man of faith who was a regular attendee at the Redeemer Church. He was known for his playful personality - a joker who loved to spread happiness. Motivated and a fighter, Loreto never backed down from any challenge.
He was a man of simple pleasures who found joy in old western movies, sipping on Coca Cola, and working around the house. Loreto's idea of a perfect day was probably spending time with his family in their home or vacationing in his favorite spot, Hawaii. His legacy will always be remembered as one of kindness, love, and compassion, which can be seen in his dedication to helping others.
Much can be learned from the life Loreto lived. His core teachings were simple and profound: Kindness and Love one another. These values, evidently present in his 35-year long career as a teacher, had a deep impact on those around him and will continue to influence generations to come.
A memorial service honoring Loreto's life and legacy will be held on July 22, 2024, at 11:00 AM at the Sunset Hills Memorial Park and Mortuary. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends - a testament to the life well-lived and the people he touched.
