Ruth Aldiva Rogers, a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on January 31, 2025, at the age of 92. Born on November 3, 1932 in St. Joseph, Missouri; Ruth was known for her radiant smile, her unwavering dedication to family, and her exceptional ability to bring order and organization to everything she touched.
For many years, Ruth served as the office manager for McGihon Sheet Metal, located in Long Beach, California, where she was the backbone of the office, managing operations with precision and care. Ruth's talent extended beyond her primary job—she worked diligently as a bookkeeper for multiple businesses and, at one point as a single mom, balanced the demands of three jobs at once, including the selling of Avon.
Ruth was a proud member of the Red Hat Society for a time, participating in the camaraderie and fun of the group until health concerns led her to step back. Her warmth, generosity, and zest for life touched the lives of many, and she will be profoundly missed by all who knew her.
Family was the cornerstone of Ruth's life. She and her late husband, a commercial artist, bought a business together, Small World Statuary, where Ruth supported his artistic endeavors while also managing their shared responsibilities. Ruth’s love for her family was evident in everything she did—whether it was spending quality time with her loved ones or ensuring that everyone was well taken care of. Her generosity knew no bounds, and she will be remembered for her kindness, her deep sense of responsibility, her sharp intuition, and the quiet strength that she showed through every challenge life presented.
Ruth is survived by her daughter Deborah "Debbie," son-in-law Owen, son Richard "Rick," daughter-in-law Nancy, grandson Daniel "Danny" and his wife Jennifer, granddaughter Kathleen "Katie' and her husband Ian Cicchini, great-grandchildren Audriana "Audri" and Avian "Avi," as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, nephew, and her beloved husband.
Ruth’s memory will live on in the hearts of her family, who will always treasure her legacy of love, devotion, and strength. Though she is no longer with us, her influence remains, and she will forever be missed.
