As a young girl, Shirley moved with her family to California when the Inland Empire was still dotted with orange groves. That early California landscape became the backdrop of her life, and she would spend most of her years in Spring Valley Lake, where she built a home filled with warmth, laughter, and love.
Shirley was married to her devoted husband, Ronald, for 64 years — a testament to commitment, partnership, and enduring love. She is survived by her husband Ronald; her son, Ronald; her brother, Jerry; her sister, Patty; and her cherished grandchildren, Rae and Quinn.
Food was Shirley’s love language. She expressed care and connection through her kitchen, always ready to feed family, friends, and anyone lucky enough to sit at her table. She loved the great outdoors and traveling, embracing adventure and new experiences whenever she could. Creative at heart, she enjoyed making things, dabbling in crafts and painting, and bringing beauty into the everyday.
A strong and competitive spirit defined her professional life. She took pride in competing in business alongside men and carved out her own success as the owner of Kamper’s Korner in Victorville. Her determination, independence, and work ethic left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her.
Shirley will be remembered for her strength, her generosity, and the way she made people feel welcomed and cared for.
A funeral service will be held on March 2, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Sunset Hills Mortuary, 24000 Waalew Road, Apple Valley, CA 92307.
