To Al’s family!
I still miss him.  We worked together in HR 1978-1990.  He was a great boss always concerned about me and my family.  He loved you girls and the grandkids.   He and Der Tackett were close friends and they both came to my wedding in 2011.  Der passed away in in 2020.  Keep your memories close to your hearts!

3 years, today, Grandad. I still think about you every day and wish more than ever that you were here.


Almost have been a year.  We bonded while I was taking care of you.  You were taking care of me.  What an honor to be with you in the last years of your life.  You always took care of your children.  I miss you DAD!!!



My dad, J D Tackett, worked at Sprague with Al.  I have fond memories of them riding in the Hotter N Hell bike ride one year!
My dad passed in July 2020, and I have no doubts he and Al are having the best reunion!!!  Love and prayers!

Annette Tackett Brown

I worked with Al at Sprague Electric, Wichita Falls.  Back then I was Janis Johnson.  Al was a dedicated Human Resources Manager and always willing to meet with employees, one-on-one or as a group!  

At Christmas we always had a dinner for all the employees and he and our plant manager, Der Tackett, would go out to the plant for all the shifts (3rd Shift ate at 3 a.m,!) and help serve and lead in singing Christmas carols.  He really cared for all the employees!  

He will be missed!!  He was my “boss”, but more importantly, he was one of my best friends!   I will miss him greatly!

Janis (Johnson) Neal


To my beloved step-father and the only dad I knew. He was a very loving man and taught me so much that I will continue to use in my life. He has a great sense of humor, He was a great teacher and love to share stories with us.
He will always and forever be in my heart. I loved you so much Daddy and I will continue to make you proud. Thanks for being my father.

I still can’t believe his passing is real. 
I have so many memories with my Grandad, enough to easily surpass the 2,000 characters max. I miss him so much already. Thank you to everyone that came out to remember him. I hope we can all be a little more kind in his honor. 
“I’ll see you in the morning when the sun sets low,” Grandad. Love you! 

Our hearts go out to you Cynthia! Your dad was such a sweetheart, so positive, kind, and caring. He will be missed greatly! 

We (Don) met Al at Eastchase Dialysis & became friends, enjoying some meals together at Salt Grass & his visiting us when Don was in the hospital & at rehab.  We loved Al's easy-going personality, warm & friendly manner, & the fact that he didn't forget that you were his friend.  He was one of the very few things about Eastchase Dialysis Don missed when he transferred to another dialysis center, & longed for Al's company.  It was a sad, sad time when we heard - first - that Al was in hospice, then that he had passed; but what a glorious morning to go - Christmas day!  We know where Al is now, though, & are looking forward to seeing him again soon & very soon.  
Cynthia, you made your daddy so proud - he just wanted the best for you, & is watching from above as you learn a new lifestyle now without him but that includes wonderful memories of him.  Go now & live, with his blessing in your mind & those precious recollections of him in your heart.  We love you & are just a phone call away.
