

June was born August 8, 1931, in Ft. Worth, TX. She was preceded in death by her mother, Hazel Doak Kennedy, father, Ferd Arthur Kennedy and sister, Ben Iva Kennedy. She graduated with honors from R. L. Paschal High School in 1948. She was later introduced to John W. Sprott, Jr. by his brother, Richard G. Sprott. June and John were married September 3, 1949.
When John became an officer in the army, she joined him in Alabama before later moving to Georgia. After their army life they moved back to Ft. Worth. June worked as a secretary for several businesses in Ft. Worth including Gulf Oil, Continental Oil and Interstate Theaters. She and John settled in North Richland Hills for about 54 years.
In 2006 June suffered from multiple strokes and eventually moved to Arlington Plaza in Arlington, Texas where she lived for the last 15 years.
June professed Christ as her Savior.
She loved to minister to her family and friends with thoughtful cards and gifts throughout her life. She liked to shop and when she was unable to do so, she continued by using catalogs and her phone. June also loved babies and young children and related well with them.
June is survived by her husband of 74 years, John W. Sprott, cousins Duran Doak and wife, Margaret, Jaime Doak Bennett and a wealth of extended family.
Graveside services will be held at Moore Memorial Gardens, 1219 N. Davis Dr., Arlington, TX 76012 on Friday, October 6, 2023 at 1 p.m.
