Betty J. Bolton

She was born in Heavener, Oklahoma on August 8, 1932. Betty graduated from Abernathy High School, Class of 1950. She was married to Sylvester Bolton on August 21, 1950. Although they divorced in 1980, they remained close until our Dad's death in 1996. She was his caretaker for the last 2 years of his life and neither of them ever remarried. Betty was a devoted stay at home Mom, Wife, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother, as well as being a business owner. She loved playing the slots, reading, and bowling.

She is survived by her children Cynnie Jones, Sylvia Burton, Jerry Bolton and Kelley Bolton, her Grandchildren, Jeremy Sutterfield, Destinee Bolton, Michael Burton, Amanda Herndon, Mason Burton, Amber Williams, Chad Bolton, Trey Bolton, Haley Dixon, Kay Lynn Dixon, Melanie Gibson, and Jazlene Brown. She was also survived by her siblings Faye Shirley, Jack (Wilson) Turner, Patsy Williams, her baby sister, her best friend, neighbor, and companion of the last 5 years. Betty was also blessed with thirteen Great Grandchildren, as follows, Ashton Burton, Rylee Jo Burton, Rhett Burton, Korban Herndon, Hayden Herndon, Rylan Herndon, Paxten Herndon, Eva Williams, Ian Williams, Pierce Bolton, Jude Bolton, Cale Bolton, and soon to arrive Caroline Bolton. She was much loved and will be missed by all who knew her.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, November 1 at 1pm at Moore Memorial Gardens
