Betty Brady Smith

Betty Brady Smith passed away at the blessed age of ninety-one on May 13, 2026 in Bedford, TX. She was born on March 21,1935 in Jonesboro, AR to Bessie and Irvin Brady. Betty was raised in Jonesboro, Arkansas and Detroit, Michigan and graduated from Jonesboro High School in 1952. She married Doyle E. Smith in 1952 and the couple had two children. She was a homemaker until the children were olders, then went to work at Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co., Diebold & Motorola where she worked for more than 30 years. In her spare time she and Dad took many road trips across the country often using the back roads. They both loved to go to Casinos and Betty loved to go to Branson, MO to attend the music shows. She always enjoyed family being together.

She is preceded in death by her parents Bessie and Irvin Brady, her husband of 61 years Doyle Elton Smith and son-in-law Donald L. Cockrell.

Survived by her two children, Cheryl Smith Cockrell and son Michael D. Smith (Seny). Three grandchildren; Ryan Smith(Kristin),Timothy Smith, and Elizabeth Naughton(Peter) along with 9 great-grandchildren and an extended family.
