Betty Lou Terry

Betty Lou Terry, age 94, left this earthly home on March 8, 2025, in Burleson, Texas. She was born on April 22, 1930, in Belton, Texas to James A. (Jim) and Veda Mae Clarkson. Betty was raised in Belton and Waco, Texas. She attended and graduated from Waco High School in 1948.

Betty married the love of her life Wayland Calvin Terry in 1948, and they had 60 wonderful years together before Wayland passed. She was a homemaker most of her life, living in Arlington, TX. In her free time Betty enjoyed reading, especially The Bible, and doing word search puzzles. She also enjoyed flowers and birds and the bright beautiful colors they displayed. Betty’s family and friends will always remember as being a loving person who cared for the ones around her.

Betty was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Wayland; parents, Jim and Veda; loving cousins, aunts, uncles, and grandparents.

Left to cherish her memory, brother, Dan Clarkson and wife Sandi; nieces, Dana Baggott and husband Michael, Dara Nelson and husband Kevin, Danielle Taylor and husband Mike; and many great nephews and nieces.

A visitation for Betty will be held Thursday, March 13, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Moore Funeral Home, 1219 North Davis Drive, Arlington, TX 76012. Following the visitation will be a graveside service from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Moore Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens, 1219 N Davis Dr, Arlington, TX 76012.
