Betty Barbara Tucker

Betty Barbara Tucker, age 94, of Quitman, Texas passed away on Saturday, April 26, 2025. Betty was born on February 21,1931 in Wichita Falls, Texas to the parents of Riley Rawls and Bernice Vaden Rawls. Betty graduated from Wichita Falls High School and received her Bachelors and Masters in Education from Texas Wesleyan University. She worked 25 years as a First Grade Teacher for Arlington ISD at Hill, Wood and Sherrod Elementary.

Betty married her husband, Jim Tucker. Betty's pride and joy were her children and grandchildren. She was a dedicated and wonderful Mother. Betty was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma, Arlington Women's Club and Retired Teachers of Texas and had a passion for computer work like making cards and photos.

Betty will be truly missed by many relatives and friends, cherishing all the good memories shared with her. She will always be remembered for the loving spirit and kindness she showed to everyone around her.

Betty is survived by her children, Dodd Burum, Mark Burum and Donna Burum-Tufts; Grandchildren, Tiffany Whitaker, Ann Hunter, Nathan Burum, Blake Tufts, Jonathan Tufts, Ryan Burum, Ben Burum and 14 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her nephew, Riley Rawls.

A visitation for Betty Tucker will be held on Monday, May 5, 2025 from 10 to 11:00 AM at Moore Funeral Home, 1219 N. Davis Drive Arlington, TX 76012.
