Billie Lucille Thompson Bowling, 90, of Arlington passed away Tuesday, May 17, 2016 in Arlington. Graveside services will be at 3:00 pm on Saturday, May 21, 2016 at Moore Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 2:00 to 3:00 pm at Moore Funeral Home.
Billie was born August 22, 1925 in Marrietta, Oklahoma, the only child of Alvin Thompson and Dovie Jewel Romine Thompson. She attended school and remained in that area for her childhood. Billie married John R. Bowling July 18, 1948 in Ardmore, Oklahoma. She was employed for more than 30 years with Arlington Memorial Hospital in the business office. Mrs. Bowling was a member of the Pleasant Ridge Church of Christ in Arlington and loved reading and spending time with her grandkids. Her husband John preceded her in death in 2007.
Survivors include two children: Pam Pendley and her husband Greg, and Ron Bowling, and four grandchildren: Don Pendley, Chad Pendley, Jonothan Bowling, and Shelbie Bowling.
