Bobbie Jean Gravitt

Funeral services will be held 12:00 pm, Saturday, November 9, at Moore Funeral Home, 1219 N. Davis Drive, Arlington, Texas. Burial will follow at Moore Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends for visitation Friday 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the funeral home.

Bobbie was born October 7, 1929 in Bell County, Texas to the late Grady H. Belk and Effie Hargrove Belk. She graduated from Paschal High School in Fort Worth in 1947 and married Bill J. Gravitt March 20, 1948. Bobbie retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone Company after 38 years of service. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America and was president of the downtown Dallas chapter when she retired in 1987. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Arlington.

The family wishes to thank all of the staff at Community Hospice of Arlington for their support and help this past week.

Survivors include her husband, Bill Gravitt; son, Steve Gravitt and wife Rebecca; daughter, Gail Ann Gravitt; grandchildren, Dylan Gravitt, Stephanie Neckar, Leah Feigel, Jordan Isbell, Erin Isbell and two great-grandchildren, Cameron Neckar and Ashton Neckar.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to a charity of the givers choice.
