She was born on March 22, 1930 to Henry and Lillie Mae Samples in Greenville, Texas. Hazel enjoyed sitting outside in her backyard on her swing watching the dove birds and squirrels which she fed every morning. She was a loving and caring Mom and Granny and enjoyed being with family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Hazel is survived by two daughters: Vicki Ragland, and her husband Ted, and Kathy Castleberry, and her husband, Les; granddaughter, Brittany Orama, and her husband, Landy; grandson, Austin Castleberry, and his wife, Marigney; great grandchilden: Kaiden, Adalynn, Brody, Blakely, Cash, and Matthew.
Hazel is preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Robert Combs; her parents; her siblings, Herbert Samples, Era Pinson, Veta Russell, Hulon Samples, and Glonda Burden; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at Moore Memorial Gardens (1219 North Davis Drive, Arlington, Texas 76012) on Thursday, October 21, 2021 at 10:00am.
