David McElrath

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 20, 2014 at Moore Funeral Home South Chapel, 1219 N. Davis Drive, in Arlington.

David was born November 6, 1953 in Big Spring, Texas to Harmon and Orene McElrath. David had worked most of his life in the paint business in sales, earning a reputation as a fair and honest go-to person. He was an avid golfer and played racquetball two to three times a week. A conservative, politics were of special interest to him and he helped keep family members informed of important happenings in our nation and abroad. His entire life, David was a devoted Christian led by faith.

David is survived by three sisters, June Griffin and husband Jerry of Granbury, Jane Roberts and husband Bowman of Arlington and Frances Jean Tise and husband Charlie of Wimberley; three nieces; one nephew. He will forever be remembered by his sisters as the best brother ever. All who knew him will remember him as a true friend with a keen mind and a fun sense of humor. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him and loved him.
