David Carey Moore

David Carey Moore, 77, passed away on Monday, May 12, 2025, in Arlington, Texas. David was born on January 6, 1948, to George Aaron Buffington and Kathleen Meager. He was raised in Dallas, Texas. He attended Bryan Adams High School and married Jerri Lynne Moore in 1967. Together they had two children. David worked as a manager for Sterling Drugs for many years, then went on to be the owner/manager of Crews Inn and also was the manager for Zippers.

In his spare time, David enjoyed going to the movies, spending time with his family, and playing dominoes and 31 (card game). His loved ones will always remember him as a loving father, grandfather, and brother. He loved to laugh and tell stories. And he loved both of his children very much. His favorite thing to do was play cards and spend time with his family.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Kathleen Moore, his father, George Buffington, Stepfather, Joe Moore, and his ex-wife, Jerri Lynne Flowers.

David is survived by his daughter, Kathleen Amanda Zacca and husband, Shaun Zacca, son, David Moore, Jr., brother, Michael Moore and wife, Cynthia Moore, sister, Kimberly Moore, grandchildren, Daniel Alexander Zacca and wife Breanna Zacca, Katrina Nicole Zacca, Kaitlyn Christine Beck and husband, Chance Beck, great grandchildren, MacKenzie Kalyn Zacca, Logan Alexander Zacca, and Maci Noelle Zacca.

David will be truly missed by many relatives and friends who will cherish all the good memories shared with him. He will always be remembered for his ability to make others around him laugh. He was a true joy to be around.
