Donald Clayton Baize

Graveside service: 2 p.m. Thursday in Moore Memorial Gardens. Visitation: noon to 1 p.m. Thursday at Moore Funeral Home.

Donnie was born in Lockhart on Oct. 17, 1939. He was born with disabilities, but was a very special gift to his family. He had a love of music and movies, especially John Wayne, working jigsaw puzzles, going for boat rides, and animals, but most of all he loved celebrating his birthday and Christmas! In 1952, his family moved to Arlington, where he spent most of his life. When his parents passed away, he went to live with his sister, Patsy, and her husband at Lake Whitney. Her dedication and unconditional love and care for her brother was a beautiful gift. Oh how he loved Lake Whitney!

His family would like to give heartfelt thanks for the exceptional care that Donnie received by the staff at the Goodall-Witcher Nursing Home in Clifton and also to Mission Hospice.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dallas and Doris Baize.

Survivors: Sisters, Patsy and husband, Larry Hibbitts, Sandy Hadden and Debbie and husband, Bob Burwick; three nephews; and two nieces.
