Eda Mae Stewart

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 11, in Moore Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Moore Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 1 to 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 11, at the funeral home.

Edie was born March 8, 1916. She received her bachelor's degree from TCU. She was married to Don L. Stewart for 45 years, making their home in Arlington.

Edie was a military wife for 20 years and had a short career in elementary school education. She retired from the city of Arlington as a librarian. At age 90, she taught art lessons at Arlington Senior Center. She was a member of Northwest Christian Church and Beta Sigma Phi Sorority and had a passion for painting, sewing, traveling and charity work.

Mrs. Stewart was preceded in death by her husband, Don L. Stewart; and sons, Gene Stewart and Jack Stewart.

Survivors: Daughter, Ann M. Barnes; daughter-in-law, Dianne Hilton Stewart; grandchildren, Vincent J. Pecchi (wife, Alanna), Gina Pecchi and Drake Stewart (wife, Mary); stepgrandchildren, Dr. Brett Barnes and Paul Barnes; great-grandchildren, Kai Pecchi and Mikayla Pecchi.
