Married Harley Ray Newman November 4, 1950
Survived by sons, Michael Newman of Arlington Texas, Victor Newman of Bellevue Nebraska, daughter Patricia Korsmeier of Indio California, sister Maxine Hudson of Corpus Christi Texas and brother Burl Himes of Longview Texas, 10 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.
She is preceded by her parents, George and Suma Himes, husband Harley R. Newman, daughter Anita Fuller, brothers Carl Himes, Marvin Himes and Billy Himes.
Being an active member of Highland Baptist Church, she created many beautiful floral arrangements and other decorations year-round.
Each of her grandchildren received a handcrafted blanket upon their birth that they keep to this day. She was a skilled creator of many other crafts and paintings.
The family would like to thank the staff at Waterford Assisted Living and CarePath Hospice for the loving care she received over the past 20 months.
