Edwana Thompson

Edwana Thompson, age 89, passed away surrounded by the love of her family. She was a beautiful, classy, and strong-willed woman whose presence brought comfort, strength, and love to all who knew her.

Preceded in Death by Ed Colvin Father, Mildred House Mother, Clifford Grover Smith widowed, Delton Thompson widowed, Larry Bob Colvin Brother, Eugene Jethro “EJ” Brother, Rhonda Greams Sister, Lori Lee Huff Daughter, Susan Beck Daughter, and Gary Clifford Smith Son,

Survived by sisters Nelda Nelson, Leisa Maxine Sparkman, and brother Douglas Odom. Surviving children Leisa Gaye Goodman (Kevin Goodman) and Stacy Lynn Valdez (Sam Valdez). Grandchildren Tricia Lynette Mayo, Shawn Keith Mayo, Leisa Michelle Mossige, Kevin Goodman “JR”, Ryan Samuel Valdez. Survived by many great grandchildren.

Growing up Edwana lived in multiple states including; Oklahoma, California, New Mexico, and Texas. Her father Ed Colvin worked in the Civilian Conservation Corps Camps, Fireman, Policeman said to have worked at Alcatraz and other prisons as a Guard. Mildred Eloise House was a housewife and worked in her grandparent’s hotel and restaurant in downtown Fort Worth, Texas.
