

Edward Lyon Keyte, Jr., age 83, of Arlington, passed away October 7, 2014 at the VA Hospital after a lengthy illness. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at Moore Funeral Home South Chapel, 1219 N. Davis Drive, in Arlington. Memorials are suggested to the National Kidney Foundation www.kidney.org. Edward was born November 5, 1930 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Edward L. Keyte and Elizabeth Eisenhower Keyte. Edward attended the U.S. Naval Academy for three years where he studied the ministry, after which he served in the U.S. Army. He loved to sing and had a marvelous voice. While living in Atlanta, he sang to the organ music of Bob Fountain and was often asked to put on hour long shows. After moving to Arlington, he sang at the Reflections Piano Bar accompanied by Dr. Bobby Baylor and made numerous friends there. He liked to make people laugh with his funny stories. Edward was a member of the Masonsic Lodge of Arlington. He was preceedeed in death by his beautiful daugther, Loretta Watson of Inman, South Carolina. Survivors: wife of 25 years, Patricia Keyte, two sons; Alan Keyte and his wife Peggy of Tucson, Arizona and Eddie Greenway of Dallas, Texas, 13 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren and many friends.
