In 1945 Edwin graduated from Poly High School. He was married to Wanda Jean Lewis Doyle on October 17, 1946. Edwin worked in maintenance as the supervisor for Hurst-Euless-Bedford ISD. He was a member of Trail Blazers Dance Team, WWII Navy veteran SC3C V-6 USNR, and was a former member of Wichita Avenue Methodist Church.
He is survived by his daughter Deborah Kay Doyle and son-in-law Lee Ray Doyle Jr., granddaughter Heather Lorraine Smith, grandson Brad Miller, great-granddaughter Bethany Michele Smith, great-grandson Dalton Cole Navarro, and great-granddaughter Alyssa Dawn Navarro.
