She moved to Texas in 1953. Faye retired from LTV after a 30 year career. Her greatest passion in life was her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. And she also loved her sweets. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren called her the “cool” grandma. Her compassion and kindness to people she knew and to complete strangers had no bounds. She brought joy and love to every person she met. Everyone that came into contact with Faye had their life greatly enriched. She told her family to never look down on anyone but to always raise them up because we are all God’s children. She loved to be with her family, loved to travel, loved old movies, loved gardening and enjoyed a good margarita now and then. Mom's irreplaceable presence has been taken from us but our grief and loss is tempered by the knowledge that today she is truly safe at home!
She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Edwin Ray DeYoung and great granddaughter Aubrey Mae Odell . Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 30 years, Ross Fuller, Jr., her children, Cheryl Foster and husband Steve, Debbie Samaniego and husband Juan, Becky Skelley, daughter-in-law, Paula DeYoung; grandchildren, Christina Murphree, Angie Odell and husband Michael, Eric Samaniego and wife Kat, Andrew DeYoung; great grandchildren Conner and Austin Murphree, Savannah and Brennen Odell, her extended family and the many friends in her life.
A memorial service for Faye will be held Saturday, November 11, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Moore Funeral Home, 1219 North Davis Drive, Arlington, Texas 76012. A reception will follow at the Main Reception Room at Moore Funeral Home.
If desired, because of Faye’s love and devotion to help all children in need, the family requests memorials be sent to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. www.stjude.org/donate
