

28th, 2023 in the comfort of her home. Francesca Peters Ikpe will always be remembered as a
wonderful daughter, sister, wife, mother, friend, and colleague to all that knew her.
Francesca was born November 27, 1956 in Lagos,Nigeria to Okodi Ikpe and Esther Stephens.
She attended School of Nursing at St. Luke’s Hospital in Uyo, Akwa Ibom as well as School of
Midwifery, University of Calabar and went on to have an illustrious 40-year career as a nurse.
Francesca came to the US in 1991, and met her husband, Peters Ikpe, in 1993. The couple got
married in December of 1994 and went on to have two children. Furthermore, adopting two
more children in 2015.
In her spare time, Francesca loved to travel, listen to country classics, read, and watch her
favorite show, Rachel Maddow on MSNBC. Her family will always remember her as someone
who was curious about life, spoke her mind, loved to laugh, and never ever thought twice about
giving to others. She is deeply missed.
