5 niños. Era paisajista donde trabajó durante más de años.

En su tiempo libre, le encantaba estar con su familia, especialmente jugar con sus nietos. Encontraba alegría en arreglar cosas en la casa, mantener sus camionetas limpias y relucientes, y pasar tiempo en el patio asando y cocinando para las personas que amaba. Era más feliz con la música a todo volumen mientras cocinaba, limpiaba o trabajaba en proyectos-esas eran sus pequeñas alegrías.

Parecía un hombre introvertido, pero no lo era. En cuanto hablabas con él, florecía y se convertía en alguien cálido y sociable.

Nunca dudaba en decir lo que debía decir. Un verdadero hombre de familia y un amigo en quien siempre se podía confiar, recibía a todos con los brazos abiertos. Fuerte, firme, leal y profundamente cariñoso —si podía ayudarte, lo hacía sin pensarlo Dos veces

Lo recordaremos por su fortaleza tranquila, su amor por su familia y por la música que llenaba los espacios donde trabajaba y cuidaba de los demás. Demostró su amor a través de sus acciones, siempre presente, siempre dando.

Le precedieron en la muerte: madre, Esperanza Sánchez, padre Florentino Alva y hermano menor Luis Alva.

Le sobrevive su amada esposa MA Del Rosario Alva.

Gerardo Alva Sanchez, age 56, passed away on December 10, 2025 in Arlington Texas. He was born April 21,1969 in San Juan De Guadalupe, Durango to Florentino Alva and Esperanza Sanchez.

Gerardo was raised in San Juan De Guadalupe

and attended Primaria Rafael Ramirez Castañeda

He married MA Del Rosario Alva in 1995 and the couple had

5 Children. He was a landscaper where he worked for more than years.

In his spare time, he loved being with his family, especially playing with his grandsons. He found joy in fixing things around the house, keeping his trucks washed and spotless, and spending time in the backyard grilling and cooking for the people he loved. He was happiest with music blasting as he cooked, cleaned, or worked on projects-those were his simple pleasures.

He seemed like an introverted man, but he was not. The moment you spoke to him, he would bloom into someone warm and outgoing. He never hesitated to say what needed to be said. A true family man and a dependable friend, he welcomed everyone with open arms. Strong, firm, loyal, and deeply caring —if he could help you, he would, without question.

We will remember him for his strength, his love for his family, and the way music filled the spaces where he worked and cared for others. He showed his love through actions, always present, always giving.

He is preceded in death by: mother, Esperanza Sanchez, Father Florentino Alva and youngest sibling Luis Alva

He is survived by his loving wife MA Del Rosario Alva

5 children Cynthia Alva, Leslie Alva, Gerardo Alva JR, Nancy Alva, Kelly Alva and 2 grandsons Emiliano Flores and Lorenzo Flores

10 siblings Ilaria, Juana, Mellin, Christino, Pila, Chany, Chagua, Lily and Mayela.
