Gloria was a long-time resident of Grand Prairie, TX. She spent her final years surrounded by her family who took part in her care. She is survived by her children Rudy Saldivar and wife Lisa, Angela Bearden and husband David, David Saldivar, Christina Davenport and husband Joe, Sonya Shirley and husband Kenneth, 11 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandson.
Gloria was a force of nature and one to always make you laugh and find the funny in the day to day. She was a strong woman, supportive and loving mother and grandmother, and a generous and caring friend. She loved to share stories, laugh with her family, cook, dance and gamble! She loved playing the Texas Lotto, horse races, and slot machines and was quite lucky too!
Gloria’s funeral will be held at Moore Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens in Arlington, TX at 10 am on Friday, September 8, 2023. As requested by Gloria herself, this will be a celebration of her life. It is to be bright and lighthearted, just as she was. Guests are encouraged to wear bright colors in Gloria’s memory.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to Gloria’s favorite charity, St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
Gloria will forever be carried in our hearts and she will forever be honored in our memories and in the way we love and care for one another just as she always loved and cared for us.
Te quiero mucho, Gloria
