Service: 3 p.m. Wednesday in Moore Funeral Home Chapel. Interment: Moore Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Paul moved to Texas from Indiana with her husband and their four girls. A few years later she had a son. Mrs. Paul kept very busy taking care of her family. She also cared for other children and took in ironing to help her husband support the family. She was never idle. She was always doing something. She sewed her own clothes and clothes for her five children.
She was always working on something, from the time she woke up to the time she went to bed at night. She canned vegetables and fruits like her own mother. She also made jelly and preserves. She baked bread and rolls just about every week. She loved to go dancing when she was young. She also loved to play card games, garden and quilt.
She attended Immaculate Conception Church in Grand Prairie for over 50 years.
She stayed with one of her daughters the last three years of her life and was always asking, "What can I do?" She was not one to just sit around and do nothing.
My generation has never and will never know the type of hardship that her generation went through.
Mothers should be something special, and she was.
