

On Tuesday, November 17, 2020, Henry Roy Williams, PHD., loving father of six children, passed away at the age of 55 in his home in Grand Prairie, Texas. He was surrounded by loved ones who will honor his legacy by living their lives to the fullest and remembering him in each future achievements and adventures. In the face of Glioblastoma (brain cancer), Dr Williams showcased his courage in facing life’s challenges, and despite his pain, he stayed strong and never complain until the very end
Dr. Williams was born in Kingston, Jamaica, to Charles and Hermine Williams on November 22, 1964. At the age of 15 he and his siblings migrated to the United States to join their parents in Dallas, Texas, where he grew up, had many friends and graduated from W.H. Adamson High School where he was a member of the track team. After high school, he attended The University of North Texas and then Monroe College, and earned his Bachelors, and later went on to to Pace University, New York, where he earned his Master of Science degree in Computer Science. He later went on to earn his PhD., in Information Systems. Dr. Williams worked at Tarrant County College as adjunct professor for over 10 years, and later for 3 years at the Dallas County Community College. He was very committed to his students and wanted to impart his knowledge to them.
He is survived by his dad, Charles Williams, his grandmother, Florence Lewinson, 97, his sons, Randy, Malique, New York, and Jared, Connecticut, his daughters, Trudy, Connecticut, Lakeshia, New York and Tailine, Texas. Also in mourning are his brothers, Benroy, New York,, Garydane and Kevin, Jamaica, his sisters Pauline (Pancy) Black, Charmaine (June) Williams-Smith and Lovern Wright. He is also missed by his ex-wife, Donna Williams, his play-wife, Joy Collins, many aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, many, many cousins, and many friends. His cherished dog, Punkin also misses him dearly. He is preceded in death by his late mother Hermiine Williams.
Dr. Williams has never met a stranger in his life, whether he met you on the street, in the supermarket, in the park, he can always spark up a conversation. When Henry entered a room immediately his magnetic presence and infectious smile, people immediately perked up. There was no escaping the burst of energy that permeated your very sou whenever he was in the room. He will give you his last shirt off his back.
