Funeral: 2 p.m. Saturday at Grace Lutheran Church. Burial: will follow in Moore Memorial Gardens. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Moore Funeral Home on N. Davis Drive.
Herb was born May 16, 1929, in Bynum. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Herb was a member of Grace Lutheran Church for 55 years, serving in many leadership positions. He retired from General Motors after 31 years and then began his second career as a tax professional. He enjoyed his retirement playing softball and was inducted into the Texas Senior Softball Hall of Fame. He was always a devoted Texas Rangers fan.
Survivors: Wife of 56 years, Pat; children, Debi (David) Shawen, Don (Betty) Schulze, Lisa (Robert) Stegall; grandchildren, Derek (Jennifer) and Deidre Shawen, Kyler (Janette) Schulze, James and Jessica Sexton, Haley and Brice Stegall; great-grandchild, Nolan Shawen; and brothers, Raymond Schulze and Vernon Schulze.
