

Hermann Lewis Acker Jr., of Blum, Texas. His body wore out and he arrived at his heavenly destination on Friday, July 4, 2025 at the age of 78, in Burleson, Texas surrounded by his loving family. Hermann was born on August 30, 1946, in Brenham, Texas to Hermann Lewis Acker Sr. and Maud Fit Acker. He graduated from Eastern Hills High School in Fort Worth in May of 1965.
Hermann was a drummer in a band, “Jack and the Rippers” founded in 1963 and played their last performance in November 2019. They were the first Rock Band to play at “The Cellar” in Fort Worth and played in their 50th Anniversary Party. He met his wife, Wendy Watson in August 1965 at one of his shows and they married on February 22, 1966.
Hermann spent his career as an engineer and designer of semi-trailers for various companies. He was sought after by many trailer companies for his expertise and designs. He created two tractor trailer inventions that were patented. Hermann also refurbished a 68’ Camaro car and joined the “Po Boy Classic Car Club” to show his pride and joy that won many awards. He truly enjoyed designing and building many projects in his lifetime.
In his free time, he enjoyed spending time with his family, he was a devoted Husband, Father and Grandfather. Hermann had strong family and faith values and was dedicated to his many friendships. He enjoyed attending New Hope Baptist Church and listening to his son preach the Sunday Service.
Hermann is preceded in death by his wife, Wendy Acker in 2020; his parents, Herman Lewis Acker Sr. and Maud Fit Acker, and his sister, Annasophia Reese.
He is survived by his Son, Mike Acker and wife, Lisa; Daughter, Michelle Williams and husband, Mark; Grandchildren, Zak Acker and wife, Amanda and Cassidy Acker; Great-Grandchildren, Oliver, Amelia, Anders and Oakes.
Memorial services for Hermann Lewis Acker Jr. will held at New Hope Church 12600 FM 1434 Cleburne, TX 76033 on Saturday July 26, 2025 at 3pm.
