Jacob Yates Stone

Jacob Yates Stone, 22 of Waxahachie and Arlington, Texas, passed away August 15, 2021. Jake was born on Fort Carson, in Colorado on March 5, 1999, to Jeremy Stone and Jameson Deschain. His parents brought him home from the hospital in their 1973 AMC Gremlin. He had his son Elijah in 2017 and brought him home from the hospital in the same green Gremlin. Jake, being a young dad, persevered and graduated on time from Arlington High School through Venture High School in 2018.

Jake was the guy in the Gremlin; he had a love of cars and was always thinking of new projects he wanted to do. He adored his son, Elijah and liked to surprise him with Hot Wheels. He was constantly helping friends out with their car problems. Jake was always willing to lend a helping hand to his friends, family, or lost animals.

Jake was loved and will be missed, more than he ever knew.

He was survived by his son, Elijah Stone; his parents, Jameson Deschain and Joshua Godfrey, Jeremy and Jennifer Stone; his wife, Erin Davidson Stone; his brothers and sisters, Jason Stone, Sam Rose, Henry Wheelbarger, and Carly Wheelbarger; his grandparents, Pamela Stone, Carlene Anderson, Robert and Lois Stone, John and Debra Collyer, James and Angela Godfrey his uncles and aunts; Justin and Gretchen Stone, Robert Anderson, David and Nicole Anderson, and Larissa Wheeler; his cousins, Lilly, Katherine, Annie, Oliver, Julianne, and Evelyn; and numerous, great aunts, great uncles, cousins, and other found family and friends.

Jacob was preceded in death by his grandfather, Donald Anderson; and his great-grandparents Billy and Avis Stone, and Syble Yates (Gran).

May he sleep in love and light; and find peace in whatever comes next.
