

Jacqueline ( Jackie ) Maroof, 78, Arlington Jackie passed away surrounded by her family on Wednesday January 31, 2018. Memorial Service 10am Saturday February 3, at Moore Funeral Home South Chapel 1219 North Davis Drive Arlington, TX. A Celebration of Life immediately following the service at Rolling Hills Country Club 401 E. Lamar Blvd. Arlington, TX. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. Jackie was born August 21, 1939 at Memorial hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Jack and Eleanor Laird. She attended Nichols Hills Elementary in OKC and went to college at Stephens in Columbia, Missouri. Jackie and Joe Maroof were married 27 years and had 2 children Julie ( El Paso ) and Misha ( San Angelo ). Jackie was a kind, gentle, selfless daughter, wife, mother and friend. When people asked what she did for a living she proudly said "I'm a mom the best job on earth". Jackie was a member of Northwest Christian Church of Arlington, led many Brownie and Girl Scout troops, a cheerleading sponsor and PTA President but, so many remembered her as a "second mom". Jackie had strong faith in her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and shared that gift with her kids and grandchildren. She loved spending time with her family and friends; cheering on her grandkids at countless activities, working at Southwest Airlines, gardening, hanging out with her bridge group and traveling with her family. The family would like to thank the caregivers at Community Hospice of Texas for their loving care and support. Jackie was preceded in death by her parents and brother, John William and her daughter, Julie Ann. Survivors: she is survived by her daughter Misha Maroof Pfaff ( Scott ) and her 3 grandchildren Samantha, Jacob and Natalie.
