

Born on July 28, 1933 in Hillsboro, Texas to Claudius Edwin Majors and Minnie Mable Rogers Majors, James attended and graduated from Castleberry High School where he met Wanda June Majors who he married in 1953. After high school, James enlisted in the United States Air Force as a machine shop Sergeant. After honorably discharging, James chose a career as a Service Specialist at LoneStar Gas where he worked for 30 years.
He lived a life devoted to his family. James enjoyed being a grandfather and eventually a great grand father. In his spare time he enjoyed trout fishing, hunting, traveling with his friends and his wife, Wanda, in their travel trailer, the mountains in Red River, New Mexico, square dancing and bingo. He always enjoyed the holidays when he got to use his master comedic skills and spend time with those he loved. He will be most remembered for his infamous “toe holds” and funny personality.
James was preceded in death by his mother Minnie Mable Rogers Majors and father “Pop-dad” Claudius Edwin Majors, his wife Wanda June Majors, his brothers and sisters Dorothea Majors, Lloyd Majors, Lois Majors, Joseph “JW” Majors, Frankie Majors, Lillian Majors, Troy Majors, Lina Majors, Samuel Majors, Mary Majors, Jimmie Majors, and Robert Majors, his son James Norman Majors Jr., his granddaughter Kayla Morgan Majors.
He is survived by his daughter Norma Saches, his son Raymond Mark Majors and wife Dana, his grandchildren Alisha, Amanda, Jocelyn, Justin, Natalie, Jackie, and Matthew, his great grandchildren Morgan, Ella, Reese, Julianne, Shane, Tate, Laura, Gavin, Dean, Samantha, Jace, and Anakin, as well as many nieces and nephews.
James Norman Majors will have a visitation held on Thursday, December 11, at 11:00 o’clock a.m. The funeral service will be Thursday, December 11, at 12:00 o’clock p.m followed by a committal service at 1:00 o’clock p.m. at Moore Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens.
