Janet Florence Klein

Mansfield, Texas – Janet Florence Klein, nee Gladd, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 20, 2021, after a brief illness. Janet was born in Floral Park, NY on November 8, 1934, and graduated from Sewanhaka High School. After high school, Janet worked as a Secretary for Equitable Insurance and as a Legal Secretary for Bigelow Carpets in Manhattan, NY.

Janet and her husband Noel married on December 6, 1958, and moved to New Hyde Park, NY where they raised 6 children. In 1979, they moved to Arlington, Texas. Janet worked for Sealed Air Corporation for many years until she retired in 2006.

Janet was preceded in death by her parents; Eugene Owen in 1943 and Janet Winnaretta in 1992, and her husband, Noel Thomas in 2010.

Janet is survived by her children; Thomas (Cindy) of Mansfield, Virginia (Rudy) of Granbury, Stephen (Laura) of Kennedale, Carolyn (Dan) of Midlothian, Christopher (Theresa) of Bethpage, NY and Jennifer (Eric) of Boston, MA. She is further survived by her 10 grandchildren; Jane, Rose, Diana, Nicholas, Ryan, Kaitlyn, Allison, Christopher Jr., Stephen, and John.

Janet will be remembered for her loving care of her children and grandchildren and her quick wit. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at Mansfield Methodist Hospital for their dedication and professionalism in caring for our mother during her final hours.
