Sorry it's taken me so long to write this. Jerry was a great friend, whom I met when I went to work for TWA in 1969. I convinced him to come to Pan Am with me, and the relationship and friendship continued over the years. He had a terrific sense of humor, and an acute sense of just how far to push the envelope.

Jerry, I hope your flight into the sunset brings you to a better place.

Jerry was such a character and a wonderful person.  I knew him years ago when I was an Eastern Flight Attendant in NY.  Whenever I ran into him he always brightened up my day with his upbeat personality and sense of humor.  There is no doubt that he will be truly missed.

I, too, remember Jerry from his time at TWA as well as being my connection to old airline friends.He was, indeed, a refreshing personality that brought much cheer to his interaction with friends and colleagues.

I will miss him, but that special Jerry Bachand spirit will always be remembered.

Jerry left TWA for Pan Am a few months before I did in late 1970; he took me out to lunch as a welcoming gift; we kept in touch over the years, a 40-year-plus friendship; farewell, my old friend.

While I hadn't seen Jerry for the better part of 40 years, he always managed to keep in contact with this old PanAm buddy.  Jerry was 4 months younger than me, making his loss that much more difficult to come to terms with.  
 
I will always remember Jerry for his high energy and spirit and his emails chock full of ideas and deals that he wanted me to be involved with.  No words can assuage the Bachand family pain but there is comfort to be found in the knowledge that Jerry touched so many people in some many ways over so many years.  He shall be missed...

Jerry joined our staff back in the mid '60's at TWA headquarters in Manhattan.  He was a refreshing personality, always positive and smiling, and trying to anticipate what next hurdle he would have to jump in our daily challenges.

While we were many miles apart for many years, it was always great to visit with him, by phone or e-mail.  

My deepest sympathy to the family. May God bless you during this time of sorrow; I know you will miss him.
