John Frances Gallagher

John Gallagher is survived by his beloved wife, Gracie, sons Kevin Gallagher, Brian Gallagher, and Gracie’s children Karen Sefcik Richter, Kelei Leggett and husband Roger, and Ray Sefcik and his wife Debbie. He also leaves behind grandchildren Alexander Gallagher, Adam Gallagher, Rachel Gallagher, Lanie Bogard and husband Matt, Tyler Jones, and great grandchildren, Nathan Gallagher, Ian Gallagher, Zander Gallagher, Zach Leggett and wife Krystal, Colin Sefcik, Peyton Sefcik, and Jackson Bogard.

John was born in 1938 and grew up in Buffalo, NY. He joined the U.S. Army after high school and served a total of 24 years retiring with the rank of First Sergeant in the Aviation Branch U.S. Army Reserve. His deployments included Europe, South Korea and Honduras. He also retired with 19 years of Federal Civil Service, as a contracting officer. He was educated at the University of Texas El Paso. Since his retirement in 2001 John enjoyed driving his Corvette, and his many hobbies. His most treasured activity was spending time with his wife and family.

Services will be held this Monday at 2pm at the Dallas-Ft Worth National Cemetery in Dallas, Texas after a family viewing at Moore Funeral Home. If you plan to attend the services at the National Cemetery, please be advised that we will be gathering in Lane 2.
