John was born Oct. 27, 1997, in Austin. He possessed great confidence, humor and intelligence that permeated into everyone he encountered.
John attended Lamar High School in Arlington, where he was a member of the varsity tennis team and symphony orchestra. He worked as a parking attendant for the Texas Rangers as well as donated time to causes such the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure and Alzheimer's Association. John was a science and math enthusiast, and aspired to a career in chemistry.
Survivors: His mother, Ariel Kepher; father, John Cookson; and grandmothers, Kay Ferrari and Rosemarie Cookson, and their families.
