She is preceded in death by: parents;Juan and Maria Vela sisters, Hermina Fuentes, Maria Cavasos, and Paula Mendoza.
She is survived by: daughters, Laura Soto, Maria Rodriguez, and Shanoe Hernandez; son, Roman Mendieta; grandchildren, Roxanne Soto, Daniel Soto III, Juana Millan, Antonio Millan, Destinee Mendieta, Oscar Rodriguez, Cristian Rodriguez, Micheal Ruiz, Rebekah Mendieta, Giselle Mendieta, Orlando Mendieta; great grandchildren, Gabby Soto, Harley Soto, Imani Mendieta; sisters, Ramona Delagarza, Carol Garcia, Reyes Polanco, of Victoria, Texas, Amelia Gonzales, of Rockport, Texas, Petra Hinojosa, of Aransas Pass, Texas, Esperanza Perales, of Outlook, Washington; brothers, Chano Vela, and Juan Vela, of Victoria, Texas; along with numerous other family members.
A visitation will take place Friday, April 3, 2015 from 4pm-8pm at Moore Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be held Saturday, April 4, 2015 at 1pm at Trinity Baptist Church.
