

in Guangzhou, China. The family moved in Macau when he was a child. Kwok Tim returned to China as part of the youth group recalled by China to rebuild their homeland post WWII. Upon his return, Kwok Tim was accepted to the Medical School in Guangzhou where he met his wife, Chiu Lun Chow in 1951. After their graduation from medical school, KwoK Tim and Chiu Lun were married on March 3, 1955. They had two daughters, Harina, Elisa and an adopted son, Derrick.
Kwok Tim was dedicated to his work. He specialized in oral surgery, ENT, Chinese Medicine, and acupuncture. He utilized his knowledge and combined eastern and western medicines for the treatment of his patients.
In 1972, Chiu Lun and their two daughters immigrated to the United States. Kwok Tim and their son joined the family in the US in 1979. Because of language barriers and the love of cooking, Chiu Lun and Kwok Tim became restauranter. They named their restaurant Lucky in Oklahoma City for luck. However, due to language barriers, they had mistakenly added an ‘s to Lucky. The restaurant became Lucky’s and everyone thought that was his name and called him Lucky. In 1999, Chiu Lun and Kwok Tim moved to Arlington, Texas to join their daughter, Harina.
Kwok Tim was preceded in death by his parents and wife, survived by his sisters, Wai Yee Kan and Wai Ping Kan; son, Derrick Kan and spouse Jennifer, daughters Harina Yoon and spouse Justin, Elisa Vong and spouse Johnny; grandchildren, Eric Kan, Stephanie Kan, Amanda Singh and spouse Naresh, Brandon Vong, Joshua Vong, Jessica Vong, Melissa Yoon, Jonathan Yoon and spouse Rachel; great grandchildren Lacey Hayes, Rylan Yoon and Jia Yoon.
For anyone who was lucky enough to know him, he left a long lasting impression and would give his shirt off of his back to help others.
