Linda Carol Trimm left this world peacefully on March 19, 2026, in Mansfield, Texas surrounded by her family. She was born on March 6, 1957, in Seattle, Washington, to Thomas and Dorothy Navin. Because of her father’s career, Linda was raised in many places across the United States. She attended Sam Houston High School and later the University of Texas at Arlington. Some of her fondest memories from those years included playing clarinet in the marching band. In her free time, she also loved ice skating at the nearby mall whenever she could.
Linda had a lifelong love of conversation and connection, which made her many years in customer service especially meaningful. She truly enjoyed meeting new people, and as one friend fondly said, “She never met a stranger.”
Above all else, family was the most important part of Linda’s life. She shared a close bond with her parents and took great pride in her family, often speaking with joy about her daughter, son-in-law, and granddaughters to anyone she met. Her life was defined by her love for her family, her joy in meeting new people, and an overwhelming need to help every cat she came into contact with. She will be remembered for her kindness and generosity.
Linda is preceded in death by her parents Tom and Dorothy Navin, her sister Mary, and her brothers David and Michael. She is survived by her daughter, Katie Hardy and husband Stephen of Mansfield, grandchildren Maddie and Cora, and many cousins, nieces, aunts, and uncles.
In lieu of a service, friends and family are invited to make a donation to the ASPCA to honor her love of animals.
