Mary Louise Burney

ARLINGTON -- Mary Louise (Lawrence) Burney was born in Vivian, Louisiana on August 7, 1920. She peacefully passed away in her sleep Monday morning, June 13, 2011. She was 90 years old and had a wonderful life. Mary Louise was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved family, friends, bridge, embroidering, and cross stitch. She married Jimmie Paul (Buck) Burney in 1940 and they were happily married for 69 years. Mary Louise has two children, Jimmie Paul Burney, Jr. and his wife Claire Childers Burney and Janice Nan Brennan and her husband Lawrence Michael Brennan. Mary Louise has seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Grandchildren are Anthony Jay Reeves, Derek Paul Burney and his wife Lori Ann, Courtney Claire Reeves (deceased), Neal Shawn Burney and his wife Lisa Ann, Michael Scott Brennan, David Paul Brennan and his wife Brigit Skye, and William Patrick Brennan and his wife Jennifer Dawn. Great grandchildren are Braden Paul Burney, Kamerann Elizabeth Burney, Liam Brownlee Brennan, Eli Paul Brennan, and Zachary David Brennan. Mary Louise was a member of The Woodlands United Methodist Church, The Woodlands, Texas and First United Methodist Church, Mansfield, Texas. She was also a life time member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. A Memorial Service will be held at the First United Methodist Church, Mansfield, Texas at 1 PM on Monday June 20, 2011. In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations to Intregra Care Hospice 1305 Airport Freeway Suite 401 Bedford, TX 76021. A special thanks to the care givers and staff of Horizon Bay Assisted Living and Integra Care Hospice for the loving care and compassion they gave to our mother every day.
