Mary Sue Costello, aged 87, passed away peacefully on October 19, 2024, at Bedford Wellness & Rehab. She was born on May 5, 1937, in Bensenville IL, to Jennie and Frank Morelli.
She was a resident of Bedford, TX and was a 1955 graduate of Austin High School, Chicago, IL. She married William L Costello on June 11, 1955, in Palatine, IL. She worked as a home health care aide in IL and later in TX, often taking on challenging patients and quickly winning them over. Mary was very involved in the church, serving as a Eucharistic Minister for many years and loved reading her Bible.
Her children and grandchildren were her two biggest passions. Mary always had the ability to make everyone feel welcome in her home. Her first question to guests was whether they were hungry as she prepared a plate of food before they could answer.
She is survived by her sister, Gloria (Tim) Morelli-Paul, brother Peter (Kathy) Morelli; children Deborah (Rick) Boor, William (Cleo) Costello, Daniel Costello, Elizabeth (Chris) Costello-Blum, James (Marlon) Costello, Michael Costello and grandchildren Jackie Costello, Brian (Hope) Boor, Jessie (Andrew) Merrill, Dani (Nick) Dahlen, Michael (Napalia) Boor, Will Costello, Claudia Costello, Jacob Costello and great-grandchildren Jaya Costello, JD Costello, Lincoln Merrill and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Family, friends, and others are invited to Moore Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens, 1219 N. Davis Drive, Arlington, TX 76012, to reminisce and honor the life of Mary.
Mary will always be remembered as a wonderful mother, relative, friend and colleague to all that knew and cared for her. Mary will be truly missed by many relatives and friends, cherishing all the good memories shared with her.
Burial will take place at Moore Memorial Gardens on Saturday, November 16th @ 3:00 PM.
