Melba Luker Sanders of Arlington TX passed away peacefully at home on June 24, 2013. She was born in Brownfield, TX on August 12, 1944 and graduated from Union High School. She was married to Thomas Sanders and was the Administrative Supervisor at XTO Energy in Ft Worth. She was a member of Shady Oaks Baptist Church in Hurst and she was passionate about her family, playing the piano and flower gardening.
She was survived by her husband Thomas, children Julie Goodgame Moore of Euless, Teri Goodgame Beach and son-in-law Sid Beach of Lubbock, bonus children Amanda Sanders Fowler and Keith Fowler of Little Elm and Adam Sanders and Laura Hodges Sanders of Magnolia, brother Charles Luker and sister-in-law Beth Luker of San Angelo, five grandchildren and one on the way.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday June 26, 2013 from 5-7pm at Moore Funeral Home, 1219 N Davis, Arlington TX and Celebration of a Giving Life Service will be held on Thursday June 27, 2013 at 10:00am Shady Oaks Baptist Church, 1336 Cavender, Hurst.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society.
