

Melissa spent the first three years of her life in Vernon, Texas before her family moved to Arlington, TX where she grew up with her younger brother and sister. She graduated from Lamar High School in 1979 before moving to Los Angeles to work at Paramount Studios. She was most proud that she worked on the set of M.A.S.H. and alongside the likes of Hollywood stars such as Robin Williams. After her time in L.A., she moved back to Texas and married Randal M. Pippin in 1989. The couple had 4 children and Melissa pursued her most important role as a mother raising her kids.
In recent years, Melissa was a sales, marketing, and traveling coordinator at IHG and Holiday Inn Vacations. She earned some of the highest achievements at her job, including the Million Dollar Producer award for several years. In her spare time Melissa enjoyed spending time with her four kids and four grandchildren, shopping, traveling and living her life to the fullest. She was the most involved mother and enjoyed being a part of all her kids and grandkids activities.
Melissa was full of fun, always making people laugh and truly a mother and friend to everyone she knew. She cared deeply for her family and friends and was known for being the life of the party. She was one of a kind and touched the hearts of everyone who loved her. Her family and friends will always remember her as an incredibly devoted mother and Mimi.
Melissa is preceded by death by her grandparents Herman and Sally Ballard and Ed and Pauline Malone.
She is survived her parents Edwin Scott and Sandra Sue Malone, siblings; Mike Malone and Paula (Malone) Cisneros, Children; Brittani (Pippin) Horton, Rachel Pippin, Matthew Pippin, and Kristen Pippin, Grandchildren; Ashton Horton, Georgia Horton, Presley Pippin, Sophie Klein and Edwin Mel Klein.
