After graduating from Polytechnic High School in 1954, Montie was an executive assistant for the Association of Retarded Citizens and Bell Textron. She was an avid sports fan who loved the Dallas Cowboys and the Texas Rangers. She attended Gateway Church in Southlake. Her infectious sense of humor never failed to make us laugh. Montie always wanted people to laugh, be happy and love each other. Montie was a friend of Bill W.
Montie was preceded in death by her parents, Johnnie Shackelford and Joseph Mauldin, Jr., and her husband of 54 years, Michael P Gammage.
Survivors: Those left to cherish her memories are her son, Jim Gammage and partner, Michelle Reagan; daughter, Melissa Leslie and husband, Garry; grandchildren, Matthew, Andrew and Katie; great-grandson, Luke; and many friends and other family who loved her dearly.
