Nova Lee Wade, 69, passed peacefully from her earthly body—one that had long been burdened by pain—on January 25, 2026, and entered the eternal presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, whom she had awaited with steadfast faith. Born July 26, 1956, to Evelyn and Edward Ingrum, she was a lifelong resident of Arlington, Texas. She was a faithful and devoted wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother, and a servant at heart. As a nurse, she began her career in obstetrics and later devoted many years to pediatrics, caring for children with tenderness and compassion until her retirement.
Nova is survived by her husband of 42 years, Ross; her son Chad Rogers and his wife Shannon; her daughters Stacey Helm and her husband Daniel, Lindsey Wade, and Jessica Holderfield and her husband Scott. She cherished her role as “Gran Gran” to Eric, Blake, and Ryan Rogers, Wrigley Holderfield, and Evelyn and Daniel Helm IV, each of whom brought her immeasurable joy.
She delighted in Bible studies and quiet moments outdoors watching a bobber dance on the water, always hopeful for a nibble. Nova was an enthusiastic sports fan—especially of professional tennis—and an avid reader. Her musical tastes ranged from classic country and western to the timeless sounds and voices of the big band era. Christmas was especially dear to her, and she delighted in filling her home each year with an ever-growing collection of ornaments, lights, nativity scenes, and festive decorations reflecting the birth of Christ, her creativity and joy.
Nova will be remembered for her indomitable spirit, steadfast faith, and unwavering deep devotion to her family. Her legacy of love and grace will be remembered with love in all who were blessed to know her.
Her family extends heartfelt gratitude to the doctors, nurses, and staff of Heart to Heart Hospice for their compassionate care. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart to Heart Hospice Foundation at www.htohhfoundation.org.
