Opal Esther Shofner

Opal married Roy Shofner on September 9, 1939 and they were married for 60 wonderful years before his death. She was a wonderful baker and a great cook, loved and doted on her flowers, as well as an avid gardener and green thumb, most of all she loved her family and friends. She was an incredibly strong and courageous woman who battled breast cancer in 2004.

Opal and Roy had one daughter Janet (Jerry) Sue "Susie" Kerley whom they adored who gave them 2 grand children Joanna (Wayne) Manning and James (Amanda) Kerley, with whom she enjoyed an extremely close relationship with.

Opal is preceded in death by her mother and father, her husband, daughter and son-in-law, and 2 brothers and 2 sisters.

She will be missed by her grand children Joanna and Jim, her 7 great-grand children Allison, Ryan, Erin, Danny, Patrick, Cameron, Cassie. And her 2 great great-grandchildren Shane and Katie Mae. 2 Sisters and 1 Brother. As well as many nieces and nephews.

Opal will be laid to rest in Faro Memorial Gardens in Beverly Hills Florida resting next to her beloved husband Roy Shofner.
