Pamela Mahoney

Pam, a native Texan, was born in Amarillo, Texas to Mary V. Anderson and Olin Byrd Dalton on June 30, 1937. She was the oldest her two siblings: Kent Olin Dalton (predeceased) and Dianne Regan of Dallas, TX.

She met and married Thomas R. Mahoney (predeceased) in Dallas on November 10, 1972 as she was building her fashion career at The Dallas Apparel Mart with her company Pam’s Traveling Trunk.

Her eye for fashion and sales skills led her to discover a niche for fashion as a furrier. Pam Mahoney Designer Furrier became the 1982 Dallas Fashion Award AA American Style winner for outerwear.

She is survived by her daughters, Michele Mapes , Melissa Macias and husband Mario Macias, son Brian Mahoney and wife Laurie, daughter Louise Mahoney, son Walter Mahoney and wife Karen, as well as numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Services will be held at Moore Funeral Home (www.moore-funeralhome.com) , 1219 N. Davis Dr., Arlington, TX on Wednesday, May 13th 2015 at 2 PM.
