

Randy was a man of courage, honor and integrity, while still possessing the kindest and gentlest of souls. He began is life as a fighter on January 11, 1957 in Dallas, TX nearly three months premature, at a time, when many infants in his situation did not survive.
He grew with his family traveling across the country from coast to coast and graduated from Arlington High School in 1975. Randy enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corp in August of 1975 and served honorably with the 1st Battalion of the 3rd Division in Okinawa until 1980. He proudly served on many sea born deployments in the Pacific accruing over a year at sea achieving the rank of Corporal. Upon his return he worked for Westinghouse Electric and several other electronic companies in the metroplex and Denton, where he called home for the last 13 years. Randy was an avid reader and master Chess player and immediate friend to all who met him.
Randy is lovingly remembered by his mother Margie Hugdahl, sister, Rebecca, brother, Bruce, 3 nieces, 3 nephews, 8 great nieces, 5 great nephews, 1 great great nephew along with many aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends.
He will be interred at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery in Dallas amongst his comrades in arms and at his request a private memorial will be held at a later date.
