Richard Gene Hughes

Richard G Hughes was born on October 4th, 1939, In San Diego, CA. On September 22nd, 2025, Richard went to heaven to be with God His wife and heavenly family. Richard passed peacefully in his sleep after many years of battling recurring cancer. Richard was born to Nina and Richard Hughes, Later was blessed with brother Bob and sister Linda And had the honor finding fatherly love and guidance through Mr. Cluck and Stoney Stratmen.

Richard was known as an extremely intelligent man having attended San Diego High School and San Diego State College. He then took employment To learn about computers and self-taught himself along the way in computer programming. This led to a life-Long career in computer programming and project management. His career path enabled him to not only travel and work in most of the United States, but, to live and work in countries in Europe, Ireland etc. Richard also trained as a National Guardsmen with the 4th Cadet CO

Later being assigned duty during the Los Angeles riots in 1965. Later in life Richard was able to enjoy his love for flying with training and Placement with border patrol flying with the Civil Air Patrol from 2009 to 2012. He married his life long love on February 14th 1959 and though Linda passed before him, he wore his wedding ring until his dying day. He is survived by his daughters Sherri and Brandy. His sister Linda and brother Bob as well as loving family of nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren. All who were blessed to have Richard present in their life, comment on what a Loving and kind man he was. He surely will be remembered and missed and It was our pleasure and blessing to have you in our lives.
