Mr. Heitfield Loved God and attended High Point Church. He was a Vietnam Veteran where he was awarded the National Defense Service medal; Vietnam Service Medal w/3 Bronze Service Stars; Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal; Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry w/palm; Good Conduct Medal Clasp; & Marksman. He had a love for the outdoors including riding motorcycles and fishing.
Funeral Service: 12:30 p.m. Friday, November 18, 2011 in Moore Funeral Home Chapel.
Interment: 11:30 a.m. Monday, November 21, 2011 in D/FW National Cemetery.
Visitation: 11 a.m. Friday at the Funeral Home.
Russell is survived by: Wife, Lois "Sweet Thing" Heitfield; children, Melissa Rooks and her husband Laurence, Marcia Morris and her husband Scott, Randy Weathers; grandchildren, Jordan, Jada, and Lauren Rooks, Ashley Hatfield, Jalynn and Jacob Blocher, and Zachary Weathers.
