Ruth Dickinson

Ruth grew up a native New Yorker and was very proud of her Norwegian heritage. She married Roger A Dickinson on June 1, 1957, and they raised four boys Robert, Roger P, Todd, and Broose.

In 1964, the Dickinsons moved to the Bay Area in California. During that time, Ruth and the kids spent several summers working and sailing on beautiful Orcas Island in Washington state. In 1969, the family returned to the East coast, where Ruth was an active member of the school board. In 1975, they moved to Arlington, where Ruth became a life master in bridge and worked for an extended period at the Apparel Market in Dallas.

In 2003, retirement called and Ruth and Roger settled in The Villages, Florida. Ruth loved The Villages and stayed there enjoying her passion for the movies, tennis, and dancing. She was called back to Texas in 2013.

Ruth was predeceased by her husband Roger A and her littlest angel Alycia Suzanne.

Ruth is survived by her four sons, Robert, Roger P (Anita), Todd (Zerina), Broose (Katie); sister Lillian (Jimmy); grand children and step grand children Aaron, Erika, Eliot, Alexis, Remi, Darby, Jessica, Adam, Matt, and, Niall; as well as 8 step great grand children.

The viewing will be at Moore Memorial Gardens at 1219 North Davis Drive in Arlington, Texas on Sunday May 7, 2017, from 4 to 7 p.m. The funeral service will be at Moore on Monday May 8, 2017, at 10:00 a.m.
